My Lady the Countess of Arundel died as we are certainly informed the XXIIIth day of May last, according to our English accompt; wherefore I pray you take care that no wood or trees or timber be felled, cut, or carried of the lands at Sheffield, Rotherham or in Hallamshire, witch were herefofore the lands of the said Countess, other than what was fallen before the said XXIIIIth day of May for the use of the Iron Workes: and that you keepe an exact account of all such corn wood as was uncarried away of the lands before her death.
