The Following is a Conveyance at Hackenthorpe dated October 12th, 1917

Mr Samuel H Staniforth and Mr Herbert H Staniforth

CONVEYANCE of six dwellinghouses situate in Brook Lane Hackenthorpe in the Parish of Beighton in the County of Derby

This indenture made the Twelfth day of October One Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventeen (1917) between THOMAS SIDNEY SMITH of Beighton in the County of Derby Rate Collector and WILLIAM HENRY STANIFORTH of Beighton aforesaid Contractor (hereinafter called the Vendors) of the one part and SAMUEL HEATON STANIFORTH of Hackenthorpe in the parish of Beighton aforesaid Miner and HERBERT HEATON STANIFORTH of Hackenthorpe aforesaid Miner (hereinafter called the Purchasers) of the other part WHEREAS CHARLES HEATON STANIFORTH of Hackenthorpe aforesaid Market Gardener deceased was at the time of his death seised in fee simple free from incumrances of the hereditaments intended to hereby be conveyed AND WHEREAS the said CHARLES HEATON STANIFORTH died on the Eleventh day of April One Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventeen (11th April 1917) having made his will the Seventh day of March One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixteen (7th March 1916) hereby he appointed the Vendors to be the Executors thereof and the said Will was duly proved by the Vendors on the Eighth day of August One Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventeen (8th August 1917) in the principal probate Registry AND WHEREAS the vendors of the said CHARLES HEATON STANIFORTH deceased have agreed to sell the said hereditaments to the Purchasers at the price of Four Hundred and Eighty Pounds (£480) NOW this INDENTURE WITNESSETH in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and Eighty Pounds (£480) to the Vendors now paid by the Purchasers in equal shares (the receipt thereof the Vendors hereby acknowledges the Vendors as the personal representatives of the said CHARLES HEATON STANIFORTH deceased hereby convey unto the Purchasers ALL those six dwellinghouses with the yards and outbuildings thereto belonging situate on the East side of and being No’s 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 BROOK LANE Hackenthorpe in the Parish of Beighton in the County of Derby and now in the several occupations of HERBERT HEATON STANIFORTH, GEORGE FARRAR, CHARLES BARKER, SAMUEL HEATON STANIFORTH, THOMAS GYTE and P.PEARSON and the site whereof contains Two Hundred and Sixty square yards of thereabouts TOGETHER with the appurtenances TO HOLD the same unto and to the use of the Purchasers as tenants in common in fee simple AND IT IS hereby certified for the purpose of stamp duty that the transaction hereby effected does not form part of a larger transaction or of a series of transactions in respect of which the amount or value of the aggregate amount or value of the consideration exceeds Five Hundred Pounds (£500) THE WITNESS whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first before written
