Henry Staniforth Patteson (front right)

Henry Staniforth Patteson was born in 1817 Norwich, England. His father was John Staniforth Patteson, Mayor of Norwich and a Brewer.

Throughout his life, Henry was notable for service as a Deputy Lieutenant and Justice of the Peace for the county of Norwich, as well as serving in the military. During his military service he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the Royal Norfolk Regiment, and also served as Captain of the 2nd Company Norfolk Rifle Volunteers.

Taking after his father and grandfather, he was a noted Brewer, serving as a director of Steward & Patteson.

He married Isabella Katherine Partridge on May 4th, 1850, and the couple had at least three children:

  • Henry Tywhitt Staniforth Patteson
  • Katherine Isabella Patteson
  • Margaret Louisa Patteson

Henry passed away in 1898 and was buried at Cringleford, Norfolk on April 11th, 1898.
